Here Master documents are made up of one or more PDF templates from nearly all the modules available in your Microbizz solution. Before you can continue in creating master documents, you need to have created at least one PDF template in advance.
For creating and editing a variation of templates, you should navigate to the Setup-module and choose DOCUMENTS > LIST TEMPLATES.
Here you can view and manage templates.
Create/Edit templates
Creating and editing templates is done in the same way as creating and editing most data in Microbizz, though here, you can create and edit a variety of templates which are as follows:
- Document templates
- HTML templates
- PDF templates
- SMS templates
- PDF header/footer templates
Document templates
You can create document templates that can be extracted in any format. For more on how to create these, please refer to document templates.
HTML templates
You can also create HTML templates. For more on how to create these, please refer to HTML templates.
PDF templates
Another type of template you can create in Microbizz, is PDF. For more on how to create these, please refer to PDF templates.
SMS templates
If you intend to send SMS from within Microbizz, you can also setup templates for those. For more on how to create these, please refer to SMS templates.
Finally, you can create templates for header and/or footer for use in your PDF templates. To do so, click on the "New PDF header/footer"-button as shown below.
This will take you to the following page:
To create a new master you need to fill out the following:
Template title: Name of the template
Modules: The modules that you check off here, are the only ones allowed to use the template
Page size: Choose from a variety of page sizes and formats
After saving with the "Save"-button, you can now add more information to the newly created template by either using the pencil to the left of the template, or by clicking directly on the template's title.
As you can see, you are now able to configure more within the template where your data can be represented.
Additionally, you do the following:
Edit fields
Depending on which modules you checked, allows you to insert any available fields from these modules.
You insert them by choosing one from the Available fields drop-down box and clicking where you want the field to be placed on the page. This brings up the following, which you need to fill out:
- Font size: Choose from a variety of font sizes
- Style: Choose a style for the field's font:
- Normal
- Bold
- Italic
- Bold Italic
- Alignment: Choose how the value/text of the field should be aligned:
- Position: Write the vertical and horizontal position of the field in mm
- Size: Write the vertical and horizontal size of the field in mm
By pressing the "Show inserted fields"-button, you can view and edit the ones you've already added to the template.
You edit the inserted fields by clicking on the pencil to the left of the field, or by clicking on the field, as indicated above.
