When the system sends emails
The system sends email notifications in the following situations.
Inactive portal
When a portal has been inactive in 30 days, that is, no bookings and no logins for 30 days.
An email is sent to the portal owner, and the portal is deactivated.
Rate sheet expiry
Two weeks before a rate sheet expires, an email is sent to the portal owner.
Daily digest
An email is sent daily or weekly to those administrators who subscribe to the daily/weekly digest.
Cancel shipment
When a shipment is cancelled by CCS, an email is sent to the user who booked it.
Shipment update
When a shipment is updated (via the confirmation page), an email is sent to the user who booked it. This may be disabled per portal.
If the shipment is updated to a status of either confirmed, in transport or delivered, then an email is sent to the notify addresse of the shipment.
Carrier confirmation
When a ship is confirmed by the carrier, ie. when an AWB number is received from the carrier, an email is sent to the user who booked it. This may be disabled per portal.
Booking
When a shipment is booked, a mail is sent to the product admin.
An email may also be sent to the shipment receiver. This may be enabled per portal.
Deviation
When a shipment experiences a deviation, an email may be sent to the user who booked it. This may be enabled per portal.
Reports
It is possible for the CCS module to send a daily report of shipments.
Fixed currency rates expiry
If you are using fixed currency rates on a portal, then a warning is sent 7 days before the rates expire.
EDI mails
In the EDI settings for a portal you may specify when a user should receive emails for certain events.
EDI failure
If an FTP EDI booking failed, and the EDI XML specified an error mail address, then an email is sent.
Spot quotes
When a user fills in the spot quote form, an email is sent to the portal owner and to the product admin for the selected product.
