Forms are one of the most basic things in Microbizz and essential to know about. Learn how to create new forms on this page.

Create new form

To create a new form click on the SETUP MODULE icon - and choose FORMS > CREATE in the top left menu.

Giving the form a title is required! The other options are optional. If desired you can add documents, body text, allow the form to be external and export as PDF based on a specific PDF template.

Add new field

To create the form, click 'Add new field' to add a field  to the form. The user will be presented with the following window:

Field title and field type are required!

Field types

There´s a wide range of field types which will be displayed when clicking "Choose here" next to the Field type.

  • Text (one line) - Text of max. 1 line can be specified here.
  • Text (several lines) - Here you can specify multiple lines of text.

  • Number -  Here you can enter a number.

  • Yes / No - Here you can choose between Yes and No.

  • Dropdown - Here you can choose between several given options in a dropdown menu.

  • More of many - Here you can choose several of many given options.

  • Fast / static text - Static text is written here (The field cannot be added to the information in the form)

  • Radio - Here you can choose one of several given options.

  • Checkbox - Here you can check a specific box.

  • Files -  Here you can add files to the form

  • Signature - Here you can add a signature in the form.

  • Date - A date can be specified here.

  • Time - Here you can specify a time.

Different options related to the field type may appear depending on which field type you choose. When you have filled out the appropriate information, you can either save the field or choose save and new, if you wish to create more fields.

It is also possible to choose whether a field should be required - that is, the field must be answered / filled in.

Skipping fields

Often questions in a form become irrelevant if there´s a Yes / No field. You can therefore choose to skip fields if the user gives a certain answer. In the example below it isn´t relevant to be asked number and size, if a user doesn´t need to order shirts for instance:

Click on the pencil connected to the fields you wish to edit the flow of and create "a skip" for - following popup window will appear:

The field question is: Do you need to order shirts?
If the answer is no - the form will skip field number 2 and 3 and continue to field number 4.
If the answer is yes the form will continue without skipping field 2 and 3.

Parameters

So far apart from gathering information, the form doesn´t actually "do" anything. If however you set parameters and connect them to actions, the true strenght of Microbizz becomes clear. Setting parameters means giving a certain answers a specific value, which can later be used to for instance actions.

In this example we want to create parameters for clothes and shoes.

Add parameters

When you are creating a form you can add parameters either to begin with or later. You do it by clicking "Parameters" when you are creating or editing the form. A popup window will appear:

Write the names of your parameters - when the name of one parameter is entered, a new field is automatically created for the next one etc. If you wish to delete a parameter click on the text and select the X which appears when you do so.

Adjust parameters

To make use of the parameters just created, you need to connect them to the form and the fields you wish to add parameters to. Click on the pencil connected to the fields you wish to add parameters to.

A new popup window will appear. The field in this exampel is a Yes / No field and the user is asked if he or she wants to order shirts. If the answer is yes, we want to increase the parameter value with 1.

The form ends up looking like this with the parameters set for clothes and shoes:
