Before we introduce you to this part, we'll give you a learning of oef the basic elements.
The basics
Activities
When you are creating your gannt view it's build up by activities, which is a placeholder of the different types of objects which can be created or related to a project in Microbizz.
You can use the keyboard and shortcuts in this view and you can see a guide, when pressing the HELP button.
Groups
Groups are created automatically if an activity or object is indent below it.
Duration, estimate, progress and dependencies
Change activities to tasks, appointments or spacers
Columns
Here you can set which columns from the objects that should be showed in the gannt-sheet below.
You can select column information from tasks and appointments as shown below
Setup
Here you can set up styles, colors for the gannt view and work weeks for the project. These can be changed per project but the default is setup in the SETTINGS > SETUP.
The information is grouped into their type which is showed and explained below:

Work week
Doesn't work at the moment - to be continued. As seen below, an example of how a simple gantt project could look like.
The left side: (data side)
Here we see the data representation of the plan. This is where the user will input information to create a project plan.
The data objects are:
- Activities and groups: Each row represent an activity. Something that has to be done in order to complete the project. Activity groups are used to group/relate activities together
- Tasks: When an activity needs to be completed, it is useful to attach a task to it, as it will then be possible to execute as normal tasks are done
- Calendar appointments: Meetings are often an important part of a project, and therefore the activities can be attached to calendar appointments
The right side: (gantt side)
Here we see the result of the input data from the left side.
A visual representation of the project plan, giving the viewer a simple and easy to read timeline of the project.
There are also some interaction options centered around the ability to plan tasks and calendar appointments.
See how to create timelines in the following pages.
