A Work area in Microbizz is a basic element which every Microbizz solution uses. Work areas are used to define time registrations, tasks, invoice elements etc. They are key figures when configurating the Microbizz solution, but are often not edited when already defined and set up.

Work areas are managed in the SETUP module as shown here:

As the example shows Work areas can be called anything and often relates to the specific types of tasks that you execute. These are specific for the total Microbizz solution and some might have needs that resolves in 10+ work areas and some might be fine with less.

Create a Work area

To create a new Work area press the ‘New work area’ button. As a minimum you just have to give the new work area a title, but it is also possible to select a category and some icons to help easier visualize the different work areas in your solution. Most often just giving the work area a title is sufficient.

When satisfied press save and the new work area can now be used when executing tasks etc.

Where do work areas play an important role?

Work areas are not only used when creating and performing tasks in Microbizz. There are also other important elements, that needs to be taken into account when building the Microbizz solution and work flow. Therefore we’ve created a list of element you need to be aware of when creating Work areas:
